Emily R. Harriman is an associate at MacGillis Wiemer, LLC and focuses her practice on all aspects of family law. She is admitted to practice in Wisconsin and Nebraska.
Emily is originally from a suburb of Omaha, Nebraska. She earned her B.A. from Creighton University. At Creighton, Emily majored in Psychology and minored in sociology and criminal justice policy.
Emily earned her J.D. and certificate in Alternate Dispute Resolution from Marquette University. While attending law school, Emily was the Editor-in-Chief for Volume 18 of the Marquette Benefits & Social Welfare Law Review. She was also a 2015 Ralph J. Huiras Law School Citizen Award Finalist. Emily was an active member of the Association for Women Lawyers and Public Interest Law Society (PILS), having served as a PILS Summer Fellow during the summer of 2015 at Legal Aid of Nebraska. Emily was also inducted into the Pro Bono Honor Society for completing 50 hours of pro bono service during her time at Marquette. She also co-authored an article in the Wisconsin Journal of Family Law discussing legal separation and has been recognized as “Rising Star” by SuperLawyers.
In her free time, Emily enjoys traveling, especially to National Parks, and spending time outdoors. She also enjoys exploring Milwaukee’s extensive selection of local restaurants and coffee shops, frequenting farmer’s markets, and attending Milwaukee’s many summer festivals.
